Demand withheld of pension of Badal family & other politicians

Fatehgarh Sahib. April.21, 2020. The Punjab Govt. Pensioner’s Association has strongly resented the move of the State government to deduct 30% pension forcibly, whereas they have already donated one day pension to CM relief fund. They demanded that the pensions worth Rs.50 Lakh approximately being given to Badal family and other politicians should be withheld.
Thakur Singh State President and Lal Singh Dhillon General Secretary said that the joint front of Punjab and UT Employee’s Pensioners Association hold a meeting through Video Conferencing and warned the government not to deduct their pensions forcibly. They said that the pensioners of State are already getting from 47% to 67% less pension than the Haryana and Union government pensioners, besides this DA instalments of 143months are already pending towards State government. He said they have full sympathy with the COVID-19 victims and have also helped government by donating one day pension to CM fund amounting to Rs.80 Crore.
Making a comparison with the politicians they said that an employee gets pension after 58 years, whereas the politicians start getting pension after becoming MLA, MP may be of thirty years of age and some are now getting more than 6 pensions and their income tax is also paid by government. They said that Badal family is getting approximately Rs.50 Lakh as pensions and salary. They demanded that politicians should also be given only one pension.
They demanded that the government should ensure Rs.1 Crore insurance to front line warriors like police, health and administration people.
