8 people discharged from Gian Sagar Hospital after testing negative twice, DC Girish Dayalan
All belong to village Jawaharpur
S. A. S. Nagar, April 26, 2020: In a big victory in the fight against corona virus disease, 8 people from village Jawaharpur, which had emerged as the Covid hotspot in the district, were discharged today from the Gian Sagar Hospital.
Divulging this here today, the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Girish Dayalan said that these people were discharged after being found negative twice in the testing. Disclosing more, he said that the people discharged today are Manish age 32 years, Gurjit Singh age 42 years, Jaspreet Singh age 23 years, Reena age 30 years, Taranpreet age 7 years, Sharanpreet age 14 years, Gurfateh Singh age one and a half years and an 80 year old man Pritam Singh.
With the discharge of these people, the number of cured people has reached 22 while the active cases have dropped down to 39. The total number of cases are 63.
The Deputy Commissioner lauded the entire Health Department for this achievement and said that the extensive contact tracing and sampling process is bringing in results with each passing day.
