April.27, 2020: Kuljit Singh Nagra MLA Fatehgarh Sahib today urged all the people particularly the NGOs to come forward to honour the Police personnel, sanitation and health staff workers and to express solidarity with Harjit Singh ASI of Patiala police whose hand was chopped by so called Nihangs at Subzi Mandi Patiala while performing duty during curfew by wearing his name plates and joining the campaign Main Bhi Harjit Singh.
Appreciating the services of front line COVID warriors he Hasid that all these are doing duty without caring their lives to save the people of the State. He urged the NGOs to come forward to honour them. He also appreciated the NGOs for distributing the cooked food and ration to the needy section of society amid COVID threat. He said that in Fatehgarh Sahib Constituency all the villages and towns have been sanitized and masks, sanitizers and PPE Kits have been provided to the front line warriors. He said that district administration, police, health and sanitation department has been working round the clock to save the people of the State as the priority of the CM Capt. Amrinder Singh is to save the Punjabis first.
He said the State government has made all the arrangements for the smooth procurement of wheat and in Fatehgarh Sahib record wheat have been procured without any complaint from the farmers. He said that besides this all the needy are being provided ration wheat and Dal sent by the State government. All the councillors are distributing it in their respective areas. He said no one will be allowed to sleep empty stomach in the district.
He urged the people to become the part of the campaign “ Main Bhi Harjit” to express their solidarity with ASI Harjit Singh of Patiala Police. He commended the bravery of Sub- Inspector Harjit Singh who performed his duty with courage and valor during curfew at Sabzi Mandi Patiala without caring of his life. he said that as a mark of respect and to acknowledge his bravery all the people should wear badge of Harjit’s name.
