Fatehgarh Sahib. April.29, 2020: The members of Late Gurdarshan Singh Nabha foundation being run by Kaka Randeep Singh Nabha MLA Amloh today donated 80 units of blood to civil hospital Fatehgarh Sahib. The members led by Subhash Sood acting President DCC went to civil hospital Fatehgarh Sahib as amid COVID-19 threat, Civil hospital is facing acute shortage of blood and the health authorities have appealed to the donors and NGOs to come forward to donate, so that serious patients could be treated.
MLA Kaka Randeep Singh said that conceding the appeal of the health authorities the workers of the foundation came at their own to donate the blood. The workers in batches of five donors strictly maintaining social distance donated approximately 80 units of blood to the blood bank.
Dr. Kuldeep Singh Senior Medical Officer (SMO), Dr. Jagdish Singh Deputy Medical Commissioner and Dr. Purshotam Dass welcomed the donors and appreciated the efforts of foundation. They said that said that blood Bank is facing shortage of blood as neither donor are not coming out nor camps are being organised due to curfew.
