Fatehgarh Sahib. April.30, 2020: Raji P. Shrivastva Principal Secretary Social Security today visited Sirhind to interact with the residents and particularly with those who were served cooked food and dry ration to get the first hand information about the arrangements made by the district administration to fight with COVID-19 threat and supply of ration. Besides this she visited civil hospital and inspected the isolation wards meant for COVID suspects and the facilities available there, then she went to grain market to inspect the procurement process and maintenance of social distancing and she also took the stock of the implementation of the curfew in the district and supply of essential services to the people.
Sources told that the people expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by the district administration and urged her to control the frequent movement of the vehicles and non maintenance of social distancing at chemist and grocery shops. Most of the people appreciated the decision of the government to further increase the curfew. The residents expressed satisfaction over the supply of essential commodities.
At grain market the farmers complained about the non lifting of procured wheat and the cut imposed by the government on discoloured and moisture. They appreciated the arrangments.
Latter she hold a meeting with Amrit Kaur Gill DC, Amneet Kondal SSP and other officials and expressed her satisfaction over the arrangements.
