MLA Kuljit Nagra inaugurates Repair work of Madopur Bye Pass

Fatehgarh Sahib. May 02, 2020: With the efforts of Kuljit Singh Nagra MLA Fatehgarh Sahib the special repair work on the Madhopur bye pass from GT road to Gurudwara Jyoti swarup Sahib via Jesus Saviour School has started even during lock down. The repair work will be done at the cost of Rs.2.70 Crore. MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra along with the PWD officials, contractor and police personnel today visited the spot and inaugurated the construction work.
MLA said that due to lock down all the development works have come to standstill, but now as the labour has started doing the work after harvesting, the development works will be initiated. He said the special repair of Madhopur bye pass has been started as the condition of the road is pitiable and potholes have developed. He said it is one of the important road which links the Chandigarh road with GT Road at Sirhind. He said all the passerby coming from all over the State on way to Chandigarh pass through this road, so it was urgent to repair this road. He said Capt. Amrinder Singh CM has announced that all the roads in Fatehgarh Sahib will be repaired and re-carpeted. He said most of the roads particularly leading to historical Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib and Jyoti Swarup Sahib have been widened, strengthened and repaired. He said Fatehgarh Sahib Constituency has witnessed a record development under the leadership of CM Capt. Amrinder Singh and the development works worth Rs.600 Crore are in progress. He said that Akalis, who claim to be the champions of Sikh cause did not lay even a single brick for the development of this historic district. He said he is committed for the development of the constituency.
