Ferozepur, May 2, 2020: The Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur Kulwant Singh on Saturday personally visited quarantine centres and interacted with the people under quarantine, listen to their grievances and provided on spot solutions. He also advised them to keep clean the quarantine centres treating it as their home. He was accompanied by SDM Amit Gupta and Naib Tehsildar Sukhcharan Singh Channi.
447 people reached Ferozepur from other states, 25 tested positive from 95 reports, so far

The quarantine is a place of isolation in which people that have arrived from elsewhere or been exposed to infectious or contagious diseases are places.
Three quarantine centres have been set up in Ferozepur – SBS Tech Campus, Ferozepur, Radha Swami Dera at Lalley near Talwandi Bhai and NavodhyaVidayala Zira where 447 people reached from other states have been kept under quarantine as per the medical protocols for taking samples for testing. As many as 347 samples were taken, out of which 95 reports were received with 70 negative and 25 positives so far. Further sampling of remaining people is continuing for corona tests.
Every facility has been made available to the people living in the quarantine centers of the district in addition to making bactericidal sprays from time to time, to repel mosquitoes, masks, hand sanitizers etc and three times hygienic food and the Punjab government is fully committed to take good care of the people living here said DC after visiting all the quarantine centres.
DC listened to the problems of the people living in the centres with on the spot solutions with special duty of doctors, safai karmcharis.
He put wiser the people about the importance of keeping them in quarantine as the coronavirus could infect a large number of people, had they gone to their houses without proper tests and spending the medical protocol period.
Making an appeal to the people to have patience in this hour of crisis and follow the rules framed to save themselves and their loved ones from this trouble, DC said, to treat these centres for the time being as their home and keep it neat and clean and feel free to contact SDM or to him directly in the event of any problem.
The people under quarantine expressed pleasures over the arrangements by the district administration.
