Indian Army felicitates Corona warriors playing patriotic tunes to express gratitude
Jalandhar, May 3, 2020: Station Commander, Vajra Corps Brig GS Sohi today felicitated Corona warriors at a simple and impressive ceremony.
He said, while the Indian government is taking several steps for prevention, containment and management of COVID-19, many Corona Warriors have been risking their lives every day to provide healthcare services and basic amenities to everyone. Defence forces, Police & municipality workers are on a high alert.
This selfless service and the enthusiasm displayed by healthcare workers & Law enforcement agencies surely deserve approbation from the country, he added.
In order to felicitate these real heroes, personnel from Vajra Corps on behalf of Indian Army distributed sweets to the staff of Civil Hospital, Jalandhar on 03 May 2020. Army Pipe band in their traditional attire played patriotic tunes to express gratitude for putting their lives at risk.
As part of the campaign, sweets were also distributed to sanitation workers & healthcare staff at Cantt Board Hospital, quarantine facilities in Jalandhar Cantt and Military Hospital Jalandhar Cantt.
The Vajra Corps felicitation campaign team was led by Brig HS Sohi, Station Commander Jalandhar. SMO, Dr Kashmir Lal on behalf of all staff of the Civil Hospital, Jalandhar city received the sweets and appreciated the gesture of expressing solidarity with corona warriors by armed forces, said Gagandeep Kaur, PRO Def Jalandhar.
