Fatehgarh Sahib, May 03, 2020: Deputy Commissioner Amrit Kaur Gill appreciating the role of SGPC and NGOs said that though the District Administration is working hard in the war against corona but they are also extending all sort of help and support to the district administration in the war against covid. She said that the district administration is thankful to all those who are coming forward to help in controlling Covid threat.
She disclosed that with the support of SGPC and other welfare organizations, all the required facilities have been provided to the quarantined people and it is being ensured that they do not face any kind of problem during their quarantine period. Giving the details she said that 13 pilgrims who had returned from Sri Hazoor Sahib were quarantined in the Sarai of Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib. Having been tested positive for corona 05 of them were shifted to Gian Sagar Hospital, Banur. SGPC was playing an important role in providing the langar and other facilities to the quarantined persons.
The Deputy Commissioner disclosed as soon the pilgrims arrived at the local district hospital from Sri Hazoor Sahib, special kits were handed over to them comprising of masks, soaps, tooth brush, paste etc. and the sarai had been specially sanitized for their stay prior to their arrival. Officials are continuously in touch with the pilgrims about their needs and are fulfilling them on the priority basis.
District Administration is ensuring that the quarantined persons must not face any kind of difficulty. She said that everybody needs to support one another in the present scenario, so that we would be collectively able to win the war against corona.
