Fatehgarh Sahib. May 04, 2020: SGPC member from Fatehgarh Sahib Gurpreet Singh Randhawa has demanded high level inquiry to unearth the controversy regarding Hazur Sahib Pilgrims testing positive as a new facts have come to light that one Brigadier ( Retd) Raj Kumar resident of Nawansahar, who claims to be leader of SAD(B) is alleged to be responsible for mixing the Punjabi labourers with Pilgrims at Hazur Sahib. He alleged that Raj Kumar had written a letter ( Being circulated on Social Media) to Bibi Harsimrat Kaur Badal Union Minister mentioning that certain labourers supporters of SAD(B) have gone to Maharashtra for farming and the arrangement should be made for bringing them back. He said that when the Union Govt. Allowed the movement of the pilgrims to Punjab, he thanked Harsimrat Kaur Badal on his face book page and urged his supporters that arrangement has been made for bringing them back and they should reach Hazur Sahib. Randhawa said that everyone knows that COVID spread very fastly in Maharashtra. He said that Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Vice President of SGPC in an interview with electronic media admitted that Pilgrims were safe and some outsiders mixed with them which caused COVID. He said that the person who urged others to reach Hazur Sahib is SAD(B) leader and the SGPC vice president confirming the mixing is also from SAD(B).
So he demanded an explanation from SAD(B) in this regard whether brigadier belongs to SAD(B) who has made appeals and mixed them with pilgrims or not. He said his letters and appeals are being circulated on social media. He said if SAD(B) wanted to bring the Punjabi labourers back they should not have mixed them with pilgrims and made separate arrangements.
He urged Giani Harpreet Singh Jathedar Akal Takhat to enquire and clear the air as Sikhs are being targeted by the media and fundamentalists for spreading COVID, whereas Sikhs were widely appreciated all over the World for serving free community langer.
