Fatehgarh Sahib. May 04, 2020: Kuljit Singh Nagra MLA Fatehgarh Sahib today got the stalled work on the four lining of the road fron Octroi number four Sirhind to Bhaironpur started today. The four lining of road is being done at the cost of Rs.14 Crore, as some of the work was completed but stopped due to Saheedi Jor Mela then the work stalled due to rains and presently the work was off due to COVID effect. As the curfew is in force and the movement of traffic is limited MLA got the permission from government to get all the stalled development works to restart. MLA Nagra said that this is the major project of the constituency to be completed at the cost of Rs.14 Crore. He said from GT Road Chawla Chowk Sirhind to Bhaironpur Chown via Octroi number four the entire road will be four lained and the street lights will be installed. He said widening of the road work has started. He said on the eve of Saheedi Jor Mela the entire traffic from Chandigarh side comes through this side and the four lining will help to facilitate the pilgrims moreover it will add to the beauty of the town. He said that he will ensure the quality of the work at every cost.
He said that Fatehgarh Sahib constituency will be developed as a model constituency and CM has assured that there will be no paucity of funds for the development works. He said that Akalis during their rule did not laid even a brick for Fatehgarh Sahib development and claim to be the cause of Sikhs. He said that now they have been exposed and people have rejected them in all the elections.
