Fatehgarh Sahib, May 04, 2020: Anand Sagar Sharma SDM Amloh has though earned the reputation of being people friendly and tireless worker, but he is equally strict for the curfew violators and particularly in maintaining law and order. As he was monitoring the supply of essential services like dry ration and cooked food to the needy as Mandi Gobindgarh being the Asia’s biggest steel town, there is migrant labourers in thousands of number and he had been taking care of all that’s why there is no unrest among labour in the town.
He noticed that certain unwanted people were roaming freely in streets and in bazaars instead of waiting for the police he along with his security staff erected naka and started impounding the vehicles of curfew violators and the minor violators were challenged. He impounded approximately 23 vehicles, which send a strict note in the town that SDM is not going to spare, so there was complete calm in the crowded town.
The NGOs have widely appreciated the services being rendered by him to the people of the sub division. He has created a prominent people and media group where every violation, need of the people, instructions and curfew relaxations and any problem to the residents is shared by the affected and he immediately reacts and responds on social media about the action taken. He has called upon the people to strictly follow the directions of district administration and stay home stay safe and to maintain social distancing. He said the front line COVID warriors may be health workers, police personnel and sanitation staff must be honoured and respected as they are fighting with COVID just for their safety by risking their own life.
