May 05, 2020: The case registered against Sidhu Moosewala, a controversial Punjabi singer by Barnala Police on the directions of DGP is just an eye wash as he has been booked u/s 188 IPC and section 51 of Disaster Management Act only, whereas he along with other police officers must have been booked under more stringent sections of IPC and Arms Act, said Amardeep Singh Dharni Advocate an official spokesperson of SAD(B) in a press release issued here today.
Dharni said that the Punjabi singer had always been controversial and the Police and government has been using him as brand ambassador and more over DGP Punjab shares his song on his social media account, then how a police officer at district level can a strict action against him. He said that in the social media video clip it can be seen that he is using the AK-47 as an officer and the policemen are teaching him and he fires various rounds at a firing range, when the curfew is in force. He said that to carry and use AK-47 is a criminal offence and the same offence has been done by the police officers who provided him AK-47. He said recently in his interview with electronic channel, he disclosed that he has a great love for fire arms and he loves to use occasionally.
