No stay in district permitted in case of interstate transit • No embargo on goods carrier vehicles coming to the District but screening mandatory
S. A. S. Nagar, May 05, 2020: The District Magistrate, Mr. Girish Dayalan today notified the entry points on highways and links roads into the District along with nodal officers. For the people entering the district from Himachal Pradesh, inter State highway check point has been set up at siswan baddi road in village siswan. For those entering the District from Haryana,the interstate border check points on highways have been set up near Sekhon banquet hall, Zirakpur, Panchkula highway Other interstate check points for those entering districts from Haryana have been set up at Ambala to Naraingarh highway and Ambala to Chandigarh highway Jharmari, Lalru. Similarly, interstateborder check points have been set up at various link roads at peer muchhalla, t point antala, barwala road behra morh, ramgarh mubarakpur road, Daffarpur and Harmilap Nagar, Baltana. The Nodal Officer would ensure registration of dataof inbound passengers at http://covid.punjab.gov.in/policereg as per the standard operating procedure. The Civil Surgeon, S. A. S. Nagar would depute Multipurpose Health Workers for round the clock on these entry points for screening each person entering the state. Anybody found symptomatic would be taken to nearest sub divisional hospital. If found positive, the person should be shifted to the notified isolation facility. The Nodal Officer, would send the data collected about the persons coming from the other states, but wanting to go to other district of Punjab to the concerned DCs to ensure supervision of all such persons for atleast 14 days. In case of the migrants coming into the state, a separate area in the village would be earmarked to ensure that migratory labour stays at the designated place with observation of social distancing guidelines. Also, the persons authorized to travel and are travelling from neighbouring statesto the other states through this district, are not allowed to stay in between in thedistrict. However, there would be no embargo on the goods carrier vehicles coming to the District but their screening is a must.
