Jalandhar, May 05, 2020: Continuing its aid for the needy people amid the curfew imposed by State Government to contain Covid-19 pandemic, the Jalandhar district administration on Tuesday distributed 3000 packets of dry ration in the district.
Divulging further information, Additional Chief Administrator Jalandhar Development Authority Ms Navneet Kaur Bal, who was supervising the drive of packing and distributing of packets, said that the 3000 packets were dispatched to various areas of the district.
She told all medical protocols that mandate social distancing besides hand washing frequently with soap or using sanitization, wearing mask and others were being maintained in the entire packing and distribution drive.
Additional Chief Administrator Jalandhar Development Authority said that the administration was leaving no stone unturned to ensuring relief to the people in this situation arising out of Covid-19 pandemic.
She told that a team of dedicated officers of various departments was stationed in the central warehouse round the clock for ensuring packing of the dry ration material to the needy people.
Ms Bal, said that the Punjab government is committed to bailing out people in this hour of crisis.
