Education Department to take "On Line Monthly Test" from May 08 to 11

Nawanshahr, May 7, 2020: The School Education Department, Punjab, it seems, has perfectly mastered the art of braving the unprecedented COVID-19 challenge by converting it into an opportunity to open up new vistas of innovations to serve the interests of the students.
The Lock Down imposed in wake of the COVID-19 about 45 days ago, has failed to dampen the teaching-learning spirit of the school teachers and students. The schools have not only managed to declare "on line results" of the Non-Board classes and designed google forms to start on line admissions for the next academic session but also devised methodology to start the " Virtual Classes" with the help of Social Media tools like u-tube, google, whats app, radio and TV channels.
Moreover, with a view to monitoring the efficacy of these " Virtual Classes", the Education Department , after completing the syllabus for the month of April, has conducted an " On Line Monthly Test" in the subject of Science of the 10th class students on May 04. The amazingly overwhelming response of the students by participating in the " On Line Monthly" test in a big way has boosted the morale of the teachers and the officials of the education department.
Visibly elated and bucked up, the Education Department has scheduled " On Line Monthly Tests" for the students of class 6th to 10th of session 2020-21. The " On Line Tests" in different subjects on the basis of the syllabus taught on line in the month of April would be conducted from May 08 to 11. The Department has prepared a link comprising 10 Multiple Choice Questions carrying two marks each. The link would be sent through Whats app groups of the students. Each students would click on the link and after fulfilling the particulars regarding their identification as well as answering the MCQs would file the answer sheets by pressing the submit button.
According to the schedule of the " On Line Test' circulated through whats app groups, the students of class 8th would take test of Math on May 8, the students of class 10th take S.St. Test on May 9, students of class 9 would take English test on May 10, the students of class 7th and 6th would take test of Hindi and Punjabi respectively on May 11.
It would be a mega event as according the sources, so far more than 9.50 lakh students in high classes ( from 6th to 10th) have been enrolled on line in the government schools in Punjab.
