Celebrate Birthday of the Girl in an unprecedented manner

Jalandhar, May 11, 2020: In a benevolent gesture, the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar today performed the duty a father for a girl, whose father- an Inspector in Border Security Force, was stuck in Chattisgarh due to Covid 19 pandemic.
An Inspector Daya Nand, who hails from the city, was presently posted at Anti Naxlites Operation in Chhatishgarh. Due to ongoing curfew/ lockdown he was unable to come on leave due. His daughter Komaldeep Swan, who was pursuing her final year in BDS, was having her birthday today.
When the matter was brought into notice of Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police they decided to celebrate the birthday of girl in a gala way. Both the officers accompanied by others went to the house of the Inspector at Ishwar Nagar locality on Kala Sanghian road to ensure that the birthday of country’s valiant son’s daughter was celebrated in an appropriate manner. Subsequently, Komaldeep Swan and her entire family was taken to surprise when officers led by Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police reached their home with cake and gift hamper for the birthday girl.
The officers celebrated the birthday of the girl and congratulated the entire family for the special. The Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that it was matter of great pride and satisfaction for all of them to be here amongst the family of brave heart, who was serving the country in the hostile conditions. They said that entire country in general and Punjab in particular was indebted to this great son of soil.
Meanwhile,Komaldeep, her mother Kamaljit Kaur and Shubam Swan thanked the civil and Police administration for making the special day a wonderful one. They said that they have no words for expressing their gratitude to the officers who spared their valuable time amidst the Covid 19 pandemic and come all the way to share happiness of their daughter’s birthday. They said that these officers were a doing a real service of the society and Jalandhar was blessed to have them here.
