MARKFED, Verka and PACSs supplied more than Rs.50 lac products during lockdown period in Moga
Moga, May 13, 2020: Markfed and Verka continued supplies of its products during testing time of corona pandemic in Markfed district during the lockdown period and products worth more than Rs.50 lac have been supplied.
The Verka Ludhiana Milk Plant has distributed milk products worth Rs 15.79 lacs in district Moga.
In a press statement issued here today Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies Kuldeep Kumar stated the milk products included milk, curd, cheese, kheer and lassi. Besides that cattle feed worth Rs 25.10 lacs and ghee worth Rs 10.01 lacs have been distributed.
Also essential commodities like sugarm pulses, ghee, oil and other products are being supplied by Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies to its members through home delivery. Markfed Moga has made the sale of edible products worth Rs 20.42 lacs and cattle feed worth Rs 5.44 lacs has been sold.
Apart from this, the cooperative societies are also buying masks from the self-help groups to support them. Similarly, fertilizers are being supplied to farmers by Primary Agriculture Cooperative Service Societies.
