Fatehgarh Sahib. May.17, 2020: The district unit of Revenue Patwar Union Punjab has strongly criticized Assistant Commissioner (G) for misbehaving and insulting the State President Mohan Singh Bhedpur.
Jaswinder Singh District President of union alleged that a delegation of the union sought the time from Deputy Commissioner to apprise her about their problems and to discuss about the promotions as 6 posts of Kanungo are lying vacant in the district one from the last five months, but could not meet her. He said that they brought the matter to the notice of State President Mohan Singh Bhedpur and he met the DC and discussed about promotions and she said DRO is on leave and he should meet Assistant Commissioner, but he also refused to meet. He said when Mohan Singh resisted that DC has sent them to meet, the Assistant Commissioner not only misbehaved and insulted but he did not offered chair to sit.
He said that on the directions of State President all the Patwaris have been working tirelessly as front line COVID warriors during pandemic and even the cremations of COVID affected were performed by Patwaris without caring risk to their lives. He said even the CM, Revenue Minister and Financial Commissioner ® has appreciated their working, but on the other hand the officials of district administration are behaving like dictators. They have neither provided sanitisers, masks or PPE Kits to Patwaris nor bothered to ask if they are facing any problem amid COVID duty. He said by spending from their own pocket they had been performing duties assigned by administration.
He said the union will not tolerate humiliation of their State President and an emergency meeting has been called on Monday to discuss next course of action.
Jaspreet Singh Assistant Commissioner refuted all allegations and said that Mohan Singh Patwari came to him regarding his own promotion case, he told him that there are so many other urgent works amid COVID pandemic and we will see to it latter.
