Fatehgarh Sahib. June 09, 2020: The State Government has sanctioned Rs.15.25 Crore for various development works in Urban and rural areas falling in the Amloh constituency and it will be developed as model constituency by initiating development works without any discrimination, said Kaka Randeep Singh MLA Amloh while addressing the officials at Mandi Gobindgarh town today after inspecting the various sites where the development works are to be initiated.
He said that Asia’s biggest Steel Town Mandi Gobindgarh will be developed as a “Model Town” two beautiful gates on the entry and Exit of the town at National Highway will be constructed and the NH1 team has already inspected the site. On both sides of National Highway passing through the town well decorated parks will be developed. He said that tenders have been floated for the Solid Waste Management Plant to be constructed in Mandi Gobindgarh and Amloh towns at the cost of Rs. 11.25 Crore. He said that work to lay sewerage in Amloh and Mandi Gobindgarh town will start soon.
He said that Finance department has sanctioned Rs.4 Crore for the development in rural areas and the first instalment has been released. He said that all the villages falling in Amloh constituency will be developed on the pattern of Model Villages and the cheques for development works have been handed over to Block Development and Panchyat Officer.
Anand Sagar Sharma SDM Amloh assured the MLA that development works will be initiated on war footing and assured to maintain quality.
Charanjit Singh Executive Office Municipal Council Mandi Gobindgarh also addressed.
