Fatehgarh Sahib. June 09, 2020: With the efforts of Subhash Sood Director PRTC cum acting President DCC Fatehgarh Sahib the PRTC bus service from Sirhind- Fatehgarh Sahib to Chandigarh has been resumed, which had come to halt due to COVID threat since March.
Subhash Sood told that under Mission Fateh of CM Punjab on the demand of the residents of the area the bus service has been resumed. He said that PRTC bus will leave from Sirhind bus Stand at GT Road at 7AM daily and will begin the return journey from Chandigarh bus stand at 3 PM daily. He said that it will facilitate the daily commuters as well as all those who visit Chandigarh for their daily routine works, medical facility and other works.
He said that it had been made possible with the co-operation from KK Sharma Chairman PRTC, and Kuljit Singh Nagra MLA who conceded to his request to restart the bus service. He said that Congress party and its leaders and workers led by MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra have always been at the service of the people of the area. Fatehgarh Sahib Constituency has witnessed unprecedented development under the leadership of Kuljit Nagra MLA, who has created a history by initiating various development works, whereas the so called champions of Sikhs have failed to lay even a single brick for the development of this historic and religiously important area of Fatehgarh Sahib.
He said that the projects worth Rs.400 Crore are going on war footing in the constituency all the rural and urban roads in the constituency particularly leading to historical Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib have been widened and recarpetted. He said even the opposition leaders have started admitting privy that the area under the leadership of MLA Nagra has witnessed a record development, which is beyond the imagination of the people. Even during COVID threat he continues to visit the area to inspect the distribution of ration and langer.
He called upon the people to strictly follow the guidelines of the health department to defeat the Covid. He said that PRTC bus has been fully sanitised and secure for journey and the passengers should also follow social distancing norms.
