Jalandhar, June 09, 2020: Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and Senior Superintendent of Police Navjot Singh Mahal today constituted a high powered committee under Estate Officer Jalandhar Development Authority Ms. Navneet Kaur Bal, to effectively implement ‘Mission Fateh’ in the district.
Chairing a meeting here at the District Administrative Complex here today, th Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner of Police and Senior Superintendent of Pollice said that the committee would have PCS officers Harcharan Singh and Harjeet Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police Gurmeet Singh, Superintendent of Police, Deputy Director Public Relations Manvinder Singh, Assistant Public Relations Officer Jatinder Kohli, District Education Officers Harinderpal Singh and Rampal Saini, District Program Officer AS Bhullar, Joint Deputy Director of Local Government Paramjit Singh, District Guidance Counsellor Surjit Lal and others as it members. They said that the committee would oversee the entire implementation of the mission in the district. The officers said that the committee would also plan the functions and activities under this ambitious program which was the brainchild of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
The Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police said that it was primarily aimed at spreading mass awareness about the Covid-19 pandemic. They said that the District Administration was duty-bound to play a key role in this exercise by serving as the link between the government and the people adding that it would motivate the people to remain vigilant and safe. The officers said that the campaign would broaden the ambit of Mission Fateh beyond the frontline workers thereby transforming fight against Covid 19 into a mass movement.
The Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police said that during the drive emphasis would be laid on recognizing the threat of the virus, which continues to pose serious dangers to the people. They said that people would be encouraged to lead by example, advise others about the precautions to be taken and report violations that come to their notices. The officers said that ‘Mission Fateh’ was a true reflection of the Punjabi spirit that could overcome all odds to emerge victoriously.
The Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police said that to implement the campaign in an effective and result oriented manner, the Department of Information and Public Relations has prepared a comprehensive roadmap of activities. They said that 'Mission Fateh' would emerge as a symbol of firm resolve of the people of Punjab to check the spread of novel corona virus through discipline, cooperation and compassion. The officers said that the Chief Minister has through this mission stressed on the need for adherence to all safety protocols, cooperation with the state government through compliance with the lockdown restrictions and compassion towards the poor.
On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioners Vishesh Sarangal and Jasbir Singh, Chief Executive Officer Smart City Dr. Shena Aggarwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Gurmeet Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Vatsala Gupta, Superintendent of Police Ravi Kumar, RPS Sandhu and Sarbjit Singh Bahia, Sub Divisional Magistrates Rahul Sindhu, Gautam Jain, Dr. Sanjiv Sharma, Dr. Jai Inder Singh and Dr. Vineet Kumar along with others were also present.
