Healthcare facilities being ramped up to effectively combat pandemic
S. A. S. Nagar, July 05, 2020 : The District today saw it's biggest spike in the corona virus positive cases ever since the imposition of the lockdown.
Disclosing this here today, the Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan said that as many as 14 cases were reported from across the district today. Out of these, 8 are females while the rest 6 are males. The 11 cases belong to village behda while one case each belongs to lalru, derabassi and Phase-4 in Mohali. All the cases related to village behda are the contacts of the earlier positive cases. As of now, the total number of cases in the district are 302 out of which the active cases number 79. A total of 218 cases have been cured while 5 have resulted in the deaths.
The DC further added that the District Administration is ramping up the healthcare facilities and is providing all necessary assistance to the Health Department to effectively combat the pandemic.
