The existing structure of mandi board will be defunct and the development work or revenue generation by Punjab mandi board will stop ,hindering the progress of Punjab.

"Already telecom sector, coal and petroleum sector has been monopolized leading to major companies exiting or being taken over creating a monopoly for two- three corporate houses. If the same is done in farming sector ,farmer will be reduced to bonded labour's on there own land.
This will be the death of punjab economy as well as farmer " stated by the president of punjab youth congress
Attacking Shiromani Akali Dal, Dhillon quipped that while Harsimrat Badal has given her nod by signing the ordinance while her husband Sukhbir Badal is trying to gain the sympathy of farmers by saying that SAD will not step back from sacrificing anything to stop it. "Just clarify what sacrifice would you made to oppose the ordinance? You have befooled the people of Punjab with this tactics for long but it would not work anymore." Said Dhillon while addressing Sukhbir Badal.
Dhillon charged the central government of formulating policies to suppress the farming sector. He said the three ordinances issued by the government were against the interests of small and marginal farmers and must be taken back. He said the farming community has serious apprehension that the minimum support price mechanism and assured marketing system may be disbanded by the Centre to benefit the corporate sector. “Since the formation of Modi govt. at centre the government related institutions are being dismantled and the recent ordinance is another effort to ruin the strong mandi system. The basic outcome of green revaluation was formation of Mandi system through small traders and now the Modi govt. is going to replace it with big houses that is not at all good for marginal farmers.” Dhillon said.
Dhillon said that the anti farmer policies of SAD-BJP have forced the farmers of the state to commit suicide and now by making these disastrous changes in farm sector the farm sector will further be ruined. He asked Harsimrat Badal to show what she has done to save the farmers of state while being minister in the centre. He warned to gherao residence of Harsimrat Badal and Narendra Modi if the anti-farmer ordinance is not called back.
