Mansa, August 06, 2020: With an aim to provide a cover to homeless people in the night, the Mansa city to get a Night Shelter near Bus Stand here. The purpose of establishing Night Shelter worth Rs 30-35 lakhs was to provide a roof to the people, who were forced to spend nights under the open sky.
The Night Shelter project, which is being executed by the Municipal Council (MC) Mansa will be completed soon as the construction work of the building has been completed while finishing work is going on. Vishal Bansal, Executive Officer (EO) MC Mansa said that the shelter will be opened to the public soon.
Divulging more details, EO Bansal said that the building, which will have four big halls— two on the ground floor and two on the first floor— could accommodate as many as 40 persons. He said that 10 beds will be installed in each hall, which will have two bathrooms and four toilets for the facilitation of the occupants. He said that apart from this, it was also proposed to provide a space to occupants in the night shelter that they can perform yoga or exercises there.
Meanwhile, Municipal Council Mansa has been making continuous efforts to ensure cleanliness in the city and provide a conducive environment to the Mansa residents.
