Launches awareness drive in District and distributed over 3000 free masks and Vitamin-C tablets
SAYS ITS OUR COLECTIVE AND BOUNDEN DUTY TO CONTAIN CORONA AMID RISING NUMBERS IN LARGER PUBLIC INTREST
HOSHIARPUR, AUGUST 08, 2020: On the directives of SSP Navjot Singh Mahal, the district police under ‘Mission Fateh’ today further intensified the awareness drive to sensitise people against the COVID-19 in view of the rising numbers of corona cases.
On Saturday, all the Deputy Superintendents at Su Divisions level and other police officials not only distributed over 3000 free masks and vitamin-C tablets to people but also apprised the general public to follow the health and safety protocols in true spirit to keep the further spread of COVID-19 under check. The drive was launched at Mukerian, Dasuya, Talwara, Hoshiarpur, Tanda, Garh Shankar etc.
SSP Navjot Singh Mahal exhorted the people not to violate the COVID guidelines especially the wearing of masks and social distancing in larger public interest. He said that it was our collective and bounden duty to contain the further spread of Corona by strictly adhering to the guidelines issued by Health Department.
The SSP said that said that it was high time to take all preventive measures as early awareness and early detection could lead in containing the spread of virus. He pointed out that proper wearing of masks and washing hands frequently was necessitated in these trying circumstances and if someone was travelling outside home, he/she should wear masks and abide by the health protocols.
