Interchange Junction in Shutrana on Sangrur-Patran-Khanuari Road Will Be Helpful For Connecting The Historic Places of Four Districts of Punjab and Haryana

Patiala, August 18, 2020: Member of Lok Sabha from Patiala, Mrs. Preneet Kaur has sought slipway on New Delhi-Amritsar- Katra Expressway in Shutrana (Patiala) on its Sangrur-Patran-Khanauri Stretch to connect adjoining various places of historical importance.
Addressing a letter to the Union Minister of Road, Transport & Highways, Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Patiala MP Mrs. Preneet Kaur mentioned that in Patiala district, at the entry of this Expressway, there is need of interchange junction in Shutrana area so that General Public as well as pilgrims could be facilitated. She further said that there are so many historical places of both Punjab and Haryana's four districts such as Patiala, Sangrur, Jind and Kaithal that situated on this route and this one slipway could cater for all these pilgrimages.
Laying stress on importance of this Interchange Junction (Slipway) on the Punjab-Haryana border in Shutrana area on NH-71, Mrs Preneet Kaur said that three sacred gurdwaras belonging to Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Place related to Shri Kapil Muni Ji Maharaj and historical place located in Pehowa can get access through this Slipway. Elaborating the names of these historical places belongs to Sikhism and Hinduism, she said that one near the village Gulzarpura Tharua district Patiala, on the Punjab- Haryana border, Gurdwara Shri Dhamtan Sahib Haryana including Gurudwara Baihar Sahib Patiala and Gurdwara Neem Sahib Kaithal Haryana and great pilgrimage related to Kapil Muni Ji Maharaj of Shri Bindusar Tirath village Hansdaihar Haryana and Saraswati Tirath Baihar Sahib Patiala and another great pilgrimage of Hinduism, Pehowa Haryana, must be connected to Expressway by giving access through this slipway to the pilgims.
Former State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Preneet Kaur by pleading the above facts has demanded to provide slipway so that residents and pilgrims across the country could be given a big relief instead of denying aceess.
