Private hospitals to cooperate with the District Administration in this difficult time - Chairman Sukhwinder Singh Bindra

Ludhiana, August 18, 2020: The management of Shri Krishna Hospital Charitable Hospital, Model Town, has added 20 new beds in their Covid Care Centre. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sukhwinder Singh Bindra, Chairman, Punjab Youth Development Board, said that under the able leadership of Capt. Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister Punjab, is fully committed for the Welfare and Development of the Youth and residents of the State. He was also accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of Police Mr Rakesh Agrawal, ADC (D) Mr Sandeep Kumar, Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajesh Kumar Bagga, besides several others.
Chairman Mr Sukhwinder Singh Bindra thanked Mr Khushbakt Rai Upalish, President, Shri Krishna Charitable Hospital and its management for adding 20 new beds to its Covid Care Centre.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr Sukhwinder Singh Bindra said that while the government hospitals were earlier involved in the health care of the people, many private hospitals have started the treatment of Covid-19. He Bindra said that Punjab Youth Development Board (Govt. of Punjab) would make every effort to ensure that there should be no shortage of beds in the district. He said that for the treatment and welfare of the patients a large number of Level-2 and Level-3 beds are being added in the existing beds in the district.
Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Bindra appealed to all the private hospitals to cooperate with the District Administration in this hour of need so that they can truly serve the society in this hour. He also appealed to the residents to cooperate with the Government by following the instructions and guidelines issued by the Government regarding Covid-19.
Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma assured the residents that there is no shortage of beds for Covid treatment in district Ludhiana. He said that people should not panic and check the status of vacant beds through mobile app “HBMS Punjab” or on official web links “https://ludhiana.nic.in/notice/covid-19-bed-status-in-ludhiana-district/" or “www.hbmspunjab.in". He said that data of all private hospitals providing Covid treatment has been added on the mobile app as well as the web links.
Commissioner of Police Mr Rakesh Kumar Agrawal urged managements of other private hospitals to also come forward and set up Covid care centres in their premises so that they can make real service towards the society during today’s testing times.
