New Delhi, August 18, 2020:The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a General Manager, Prathama UP Gramin Bank, Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh) for demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. Fifty thousand from the complainant.
A case was registered against a General Manager, Prathama UP Gramin Bank, Head office, Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh) on a complaint alleging therein that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs. Five Lakh and LED TV 43 inch from the complainant for giving the recovery work of 5 regions which was earlier curtailed by him. It was further alleged that these 5 regions were allotted to complainant initially along with other regions. It was also alleged that the accused directed the complainant to deliver initially Rs.50,000/- & LED TV 43 inch and the remaining amount subsequently. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. 50,000/-. Searches were conducted at the office and residential premises of the accused at Moradabad, Noida & Patna which led to recovery of certain documents.
The arrested accused was produced before the Competent Court and remanded to Judicial Custody.
