Jalandhar, August 23, 2020: In order to ensure quick accessibility of real-time information about the availability of the beds in government and private hospitals for Covid-19 treatment, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that Punjab Government has made the information available in COVA app to save crucial time in starting treatment of the Covid patients.
Deputy Commissioner said that the people can check the real-time status of beds across all Covid-19 facilities including private and government hospitals in the district on COVA app now. He said that this new feature in the COVA app would help patients in making the decision of taking treatment in these facilities at the earliest.
Besides, he added that those who recovered from infections can also register themselves as plasma volunteer for donating blood plasma to save lives of critical patients.
Further, Deputy Commissioner told that information about private labs conducting Covid test can also be accessed from the COVA app.
Thori informed that district administration had already provided the same information on www.jalandhar.nic.in on Covid dashboard.
The deputy commissioner said that Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led state government has adopted a multi-pronged strategy to contain the virus spread and district administration Jalandhar was committed to assisting people during these difficult times so that this ongoing war against the Corona Virus could be won over.
However, he asked the people to strictly adhere to the safety precautions including wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining social distance, giving special care to the elderly and children to keep this disease at bay.
