Farmers’ interests intact with resolutions against Centre’s Farm Laws :Pinki
Ferozepur, October 20, 2020: The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, has protected the inerests of Punjab farmers of the State by introducing resolutions in Assembly against Centre’s farm laws enacted recently by the Centre, said Parminder Singh Pinki, MLA Ferozepur Urban expressing pleasures over countering the Bills.
Pinki said, the CM Punjab has once again proved that he stood by the rights of the farmers, arthias, transporters and labourers to protect their interests.
MLA Pinki said that as per the Punjab government's bill, if a person buys a farmer's crop below the MSP, he can be imprisoned for up to three years. Similarly the land of farmers owning less than two and a half acres would not be attached for any recovery. The farmers have thanked the Punjab CM for protecting the interests of the farmers.
He said that this decision of the Punjab government was being welcomed everywhere and all the stakeholders including the farmers were expressing their happiness by distributing sweets.
