Jalandhar, November 25- Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Vishesh Sarangal on Wednesday reviewed the launching of the third phase of Prime Minister Kaushal Vikas Yojna in December to make the youths more skilled and ensure required workforce to the industrialists.
Presiding over a meeting with the executive committee and industrialists in the district administrative complex, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that skill centres were playing a pivotal role in making our youth skilled in the various fields so that they can meet the market demand and can earn a livelihood.
He said that the district administration is committed to ensure skill development of the youths by their enrolment in the job oriented courses in the centres so that they can become self-reliant.
Sarangal mentioned that skill development was the need of the hour in the present competitive world because most of the job creations are skill-oriented besides emphasizing the soft skill training for the overall personality development of our youth.
The ADC called upon the youth to join any soft skill course along their skill development course so that they were able to understand the market requirements and communicate better to the various employment opportunities.
He also took their suggestions from the industrialists to provide them skilled and educated manpower as per their desires. He told them to provide the data regarding the number of skilled workers required by them so that the administration can work accordingly.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that this would benefit both the youths and industrialists as the youths would get good jobs whereas the industrialists would get skilled labour.
