Deadlock continues over Senate elections in meeting between VC and students’ organizations
Chandigarh, November 25, 2020: The meeting between students’ organizations and Vice-Chancellor regarding Panjab University Senate Elections remained inconclusive.
The meeting with the Vice-Chancellor of Panjab University, in regard to demands which were submitted to him on Tuesday, for the conduct of Senate, has apparently failed to address the concerns of those who were battling for the conduct of the election.

Parminder Singh Goldy (PUCSC PREZ 2007 and AAM AADMI PARTY) Manoj Lubana Former SOPU President and Chairman social media NSUI, and Rahul Kumar ( Vice President PUCSC) held the meeting with the VC of University.
They said, that the VC, on Tuesday, had ensured a solution to the dispute. However, the VC expressed his inability to go ahead with the election, owing to the pressure being created by the Central authorities.
Kuljit Nagra said, "We will now hold a Joint Meeting with all the stakeholders including All the Political Parties, PUTA, Senators and Syndics, in the first week of December and proceed further accordingly."
In another event, which is claimed to be a planned act, ABVP protested against the conduct of Senate's Election.
Malwinder Singh Kang said, "the intent of BJP-RSS is now crystal clear. Any resistance by anyone against BJP-RSS will dealt with force."Manoj Lubana said, "The BJP-RSS thinks they can fool all people of all times. They can use ABVP all they want. But I just want to remind them, this is PU".
