Centre even didn’t discuss new farm laws in meeting : Farmer leaders
New Delhi, December 1, 2020 : Union Cabinet Minister who took part in meeting with farmer leaders today even didn’t discussed new farms laws which the farmers are demanding to be scrapped.
Farmer leaders disclosed that when the meeting started Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that give us names of 4 to 5 leaders who will be included in the committee to sort out issue. Farmer leaders strongly opposed idea of constituting committee and demanded scrapping of farm laws. In response to this Union Minister said that the committee will find out shortcomings in the new laws and then they will discuss what to do further.
It is learnt that meeting, which started at 3.00 pm is likely to linger on till late evening. Farmers leaders have rejected offer of constitution of committee in the first place.
