Popular Punjabi music banner removes content from JioSaavn in farmers' support
Chandigarh, December 14, 2020: In solidarity with the farmers' protesting against farm bills, a Punjabi film and music banner has removed all its content JioSaavn, an online music streaming service. Interestingly, Reliance Industries Ltd has a major stake in the company.
In a press statement, Rhythm Boyz, a Punjabi film production and distribution company with headquarters in Amritsar and Canada said that they have extended their unconditional support to ongoing farmers' protest.
The production company is owned by singer-actor Amrinder Gill and film producer Karaj Gill.
The production company is credited to give Punjabi film industry many hits including Angrej, Bambukaat, Love Punjab, Vekh Baraatan Challiyan, Chal Mera Putt to name a few.
