SC grants permission to implead farmer organisations, issues notice to Centre
Chandigarh, December 16, 2020 (ANI) :A Bench of Chief Justice SA Bobde and Justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian grants permission to implead farmer organisations. The matter will be heard in the Supreme Court tomorrow.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday heard the plea seeking directions to authorities to remove farmers who are protesting at several border points of Delhi against the three new farm laws
After the counsel appearing for petitioner mentioned Shaheen Bagh case to remove farmers from Delhi borders, Chief Justice of India said, there cannot be a precedent in law and order matter.
The apex court has further issued notice to Centre on a PIL seeking removal of farmers from blocking the roads at Delhi borders. The notice has been also been issued to BKU and other farmers organisations.
This petition has been filed by a law student Rishabh Sharm who has contended that due this blockade commuters are facing hardships on daily basis and there is increase threat of spread of COVID-19.

The case has been listed for hearing tomorrow on an urgent basis
