Centre likely to invite farmers organizations for talks in a day or two: Senior BJP leader
Chandigarh, December 20, 2020: To break the existing deadlock over farm bills, the central government is likely to invite the leaders of various farmer’s organizations protesting in Delhi borders for another round of talks in a day or two.
The development was revealed by senior BJP leader Harjit Singh Grewal to Babushahi Network on Sunday. Grewal said that center is formulating a way to resolve the conflict.
“The government is intending to have another round of talks with the agitating farmers to reach a common ground. The centre will be inviting the farmers’ organization in a day or two,” Grewal said.
“I’m hopeful that farmers’ concern will be addressed in the upcoming meet and both the sides will be able to resolve the matter,” he added.
Senior leader Grewal is a member of Punjab BJP’s eight-member panel formed to hold talks with agitating farmers.
