KMSC organizes ‘Candle March’, observes 2-minutes silence to pay tributes to farmers who died during agitation
Ferozepur, December 20, 2020: Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee – KMSC, today observed ‘Homage Day’ at village Lohka and paid tributes to those farmers who lost their lives during the protests and also organized Candle March and 2-minute silence.
Sukhwant Singh Lohka, Secretaray KMSC said, the three controversial farm laws enacted by the Central government are anti-farmers. The new laws will put them at the mercy of corporate houses and end the minimum support price – MSP that they receive for important crops.
He said, the farmers are protesting at Delhi borders – Singhu and Tikri, for the last 23 days, during which period 22 farmers have lost their lives. In Punjab also, the floral tributes were paid to the fellow protesters who have lost their lives and observed two-minutes silence, followed by Candle March.
The farmers in the village criticized the country’s leaders over the laws and reiterated their demand for a rollback. They said, our only demand is that the three anti-farmer laws should be revoked. In the meantime, the farmers are planning for massive protests in the coming days to pressurize the government to rollback the anti-farmers laws. They are determined to achieve their goal and the protests will be a continuous process till the three farm laws are not withdrawn.
