Bar council chief condoles demise of advocate Amarjeet
Chandigarh, December 27, 2020: Shocked by the death of advocate Amarjeet Singh Rai, chairman Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana Karanjit Singh expressed grief and extended help and support to the family of the deceased.
“In support of Kisaan agitation one of our advocate Amarjeet Singh Rai has sacrificed his life today morning by writing a letter addressed to PM to withdraw black laws Bar council firmly stand by with the grieved family and assured all help and support,” said Karanjit Singh Chairman Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana.
An advocate from Jalalabad, Amarjeet committed suicide at Kisan dharna at the Tikri border today, by consuming poison.
Advocate Amarjit Singh Rai was camping at the Delhi border for the last few days along with his fellow advocates. Other advocates returned home after camping for a few days by Rai refused to go back.
Though he was rushed to Bahardurgarh hospital which referred him to PGI Rohtak where he was declared brought dead.
