On refusal to discuss farm bills, 3 MPs walk out of Standing Committee meeting
Delhi, January 11, 2021: Partap Singh Bajwa, Chhaya Verma and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa chose to walk out of the Standing Committee on Agriculture meeting held earlier today due to the Chairman of the Committee’s refusal to discuss the three Central Acts passed recently on farming and its aftermath.
Citing the large scale protests undertaken by various farmer unions, that has seen thousands of farmers protest at the borders of Delhi for over 40 days, the three Rajya Sabha MP’s raised the issue to the Chairman of the Standing Committee.
