Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee threatens to gehrao NIA office
Ferozepur, January 16, 2021: The issue of summons to several activists associated with the farmers’ protest was condemned by Sarwan Singh Pandher, State Secretary, Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee – KMSC, has threatened to gehrao National Investigating Agency - NIA office at Chandigarh in case the government did not stop using such means.
Earlier, Pandher had condemned the statement of MD, Executive Board IMF Kristalina Georgieva in favour of the Modi government.
The agency is also reported to have sent notices to farm leaders, Sikh activists and journalists, asking them to appear before it as witnesses in a case against SFJ’s legal adviser Gurpatwant Singh Pannun and his aides.
In fact, the nine rounds of talks between the government and farmers have failed to arrive any conclusion despite holding the 3-Farm Laws and forming a Committee by the Supreme Court. The farmer outfits are adamant, not less than the withdrawal of laws for which the farmers are protesting by camping at Delhi borders.
Pandher said, the law and order is a state subject and NIA – National Intelligence Agency in Punjab is taking action against the youths by proving them as unpatriotic like the traitors.
He said, it is not understood as to how the central agencies could know the activities in State and why the Capt led government is not opposing. All such actions are out of the revengeful attitude of the government.
This action of the government is condemned and in case the NIA is not withdrawn from the state, we will gehrao its office at Chandigarh, he added.
