Khalsa Aid nominated for Nobel Peace Prize for humanitarian work
Chandigarh, January 18, 2021: The United Kingdom-based non-government organization Khalsa Aid has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for its humanitarian work.
The nomination for Nobel Peace Prize has been made by TS Uppal, Member of Parliament (MP) from Edmonton Mill Woods, Mayor of Brampton Patrick Brown, and the MPP for Brampton South, Prabmeet Singh Sarkaria.
TS Uppal, Member of Parliament (MP) also took to Twitter to make the announcement.
“For over 20 years @Khalsa_Aid has been helping people in desperate situations around the world. In my capacity as a federal Member of Parliament and with the support of @PrabSarkaria and @patrickbrownont , I am nominating Khalsa Aid for a Nobel Peace Prize,” wrote TS Uppal on his Twitter handle.

.Similarly, Ravinder Singh, founder of Khalsa Aid also shared on his Twitter about the nomination. “We are deeply humbled by this nomination,” told Ravinder Singh.

Notably, Khalsa Aid has been actively serving the farmers who have been protesting at Delhi Borders for 53 days. It has set up Kisan Mall at Tikri border.
On January 16, National Investigation Agency (NIA) has issued summons to Khalsa Aid’s India Director Amanpreet Singh and other Trustees and asked them to depose before the agency.
