AAP to excel in municipal elections with surprising results: Bhullar
Ferozepur, January 20, 2021: After joining the Aam Aadmi Party, Advocate Manjindeer Singh Bhullar, sharing his views with the media persons, said, in the coming municipal elections to be held on February 14, AAP will represent in almost all the wards on party symbol ‘broom’ – AAP’s poll symbol, for which ground-level work has started for fielding the candidates but the results will definitely be surprising.
In Ferozepur, there are six councils – 2 nagar panchayats and 4 municipal councils with 184 booths and 104 wards.
Appreciating the role media persons, Bhullar said, it would not be possible to make the things from “impossible to possible” without the help of media.
Speaking on farmers' protest over repealing of three farm laws, he said, Delhi government led by Arvind Kejriwal has already announced its support to farmers bolding bluntly for January 26 Tractor Rally. He said it was unfortunate that the issue of farmers were not redressed the arrogant stubborn and dictatorial cetnre government.
Describing the Union Government as an unscrupulous government, he said that the people would never favour the government which was ignoring the services of farmers and workers to the country and the Aam Aadmi Party would be the stronghold of India.
Bhullar said that the people of Punjab had seen the various colours of political parties in the past but the coming 2022 elections will be a golden opportunity for the people to bring change in the cities by electing councilor among the people, by giving a chance to the ideology of AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.
Taking a jibe at the Congress government, Bhullar counted on fingers the various promises made by the party but none of them has been fulfilled – major among them making the Punjab state drug-free, creating employment, unemployment allowance, waiving of loan of farmers, creating fast track courts for early punishment to criminals under NDPS Act, house to poor downtrodden people, closing down of liquor shops, farmers pension scheme.
Taking about Ferozepur, he said, it is very unfortunate that the PGI and at Sangrur, Bathinda and Ferozepur were announced at the same time but Ferozepur is yet to start its operation, and the chronic patients have to be rushed to far off places in the event of an emergency. Irrespective of credit of this project to any party, Bhullar said, it must be started at the earliest possible, to provide relief to the people of Ferozepur and surrounding areas. He also pointed out the MLD project at Kunde started by spending around Rs.15 crores but the waste water is still being disposed of in the Sutlej River.
