CGC Jhanjeri launches scholarships of ₹5 crores for 2021
Mohali, January 21, 2021: Minister of Technical Educational & Industrial Training, Punjab, Charanjit Singh Channi launched Open Scholarship for Higher Education students at Chandigarh Group of Colleges Jhanjeri for economically weak and meritorious students.
The scholarship is Rs 5 Crores for the year 2021 for more than 1000 students. Charanjit Singh Channi, who was Guest of Honor of the ceremony appreciated CGC Jhanjeri's novel attempt to motivate students to pursue a career of their choice, without worrying about financial circumstances.
According to him due to pandemics, it has become difficult for many students to pay for higher education.
He appreciated CGC for providing such a golden opportunity for students to enable them to excel without worry about the fees which will motivate them to work hard and get good marks to get scholarships for the future also.
Speaking on the occasion Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Jhanjeri said that the college would put in the best efforts for providing scholarships, additional facilities, and top-quality education to students.
He further added that Scholarship Scheme is announced for meritorious students as well as economically weak students.
He advised the students to be more professionally educated and skillful for their proper employment & overall development of the region.
According to him, such scholarships encourage students to excel. The purpose of the scholarship program is to further the development of the people by supporting the pursuit of excellence in a field of their choice to study.
