KMSC rejects govt proposal to hold laws
Nothing less than withdrawal of 3-Farm Laws is acceptable: Pannu
Ferozepur, January 21, 2021: The proposal of the government to put farm laws on hold for 1.5 years and the formation of a committee to further recommend the implementation of the laws is not acceptable to Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee - KMSC and this message has been conveyed in the meeting with the government, said Satnam Singh Pannu, President.
Pannu said, there is a need to rollback the 3-Farm Laws when the government has agreed for putting it on hold and making any amendments and a separate law for MSF –Minimum Support Price for the marketing of 23 crops may be framed. With these arrangements, the farmers will be happy, comfortable and economically sound besides the country will become self-dependent. The government can easily make arrangements for the required funds of Rs.8 lac crore from the Bombay Stock Exchange having a turnover of Rs.196 crore daily by putting one percent tax.
Added here, the Syunkat Kissan Morcha in its meeting has rejected the proposals of the government.
It is a historic peaceful protest in the history of India and the government must step down as nothing less than the repealing of 3-Farm Laws is acceptable to the farmer’s outfits.
In the event of a deadlock over the 3-Farm Laws, the protest by the farmers will continue till the withdrawal of farm laws and a massive Tractor Rally will be held on January 26 at Delhi.
