Ludhiana, 23 Jan, 2021 - G.H.G. Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar organized a national level seminar to commemorate 400th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji on January 23, 2021. It is the first seminar which has been conducted during the pandemic through a blended mode of online and offline deliberations. The seminar was organized in collaboration with Bombay Teachers’ Training College, Mumbai- a constituent college of HSNC, University, Mumbai.
Seminar commenced with the path of Shri Sukhmni Sahib followed by formal welcome address by Dr. Pargat Singh Garcha Principal of the college and Dr. Bhagwan Bilani, Principal, Bombay Teachers’ Training College. Some of the contributors in the special addition of the research journal Dr. Balwinder Pal Singh, Dr. Rajeev I Jha, Dr. Raju Talreja, Ms. Panna Purohit and Dr. Jagjit Singh presented their papers on the theme “Hind Di Chaadar: An Unparalleled Sacrifice” . A special addition of College biannual research journal “GHG Journal of Sixth Thought” dedicated to the 400th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was also released on this special occasion. The journal is a compilation of 25 papers from academicians, preachers and historians of national and international repute. The release of journal was followed by an interactive session on the theme of the seminar by Dr. R.S Chandok, Principal Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa college Jabalpur, Sikh Historian Mr. Abhinash Mahapatra, Dr. Inderjit Singh Vasu, former Prof. Shri Guru Angad Dev Institute of Religious Studies, Khadoor Sahib and Dr. Mandeep Kocchar, Vice Principal, Bombay Teachers’ Training College. College Governing Council congratulated the IQAC cell of both the colleges for organizing the event successfully. Guru Ka Langar was also served at the end of the seminar.
