Distt-Level Children Science Congress concludes on theme ‘Science for Sustainable Life’
Ferozepur, January 23, 2021: With the participation of 30 government and private schools, the District Level Children Science Congress on the theme of Science for Sustainable Life, concluded today. The event was held at Govt. Sr. Sec. School Bazidpur under the tutelage of Kulwinder Kaur, DEO(S).
Komal Arora, Dy.DEO, Principal Gurpeet Singh, Deepak Sharma and Rakesh Kumar Nodal Officers were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Kulwinder Kaur, DEO said, creativity and innovation are the two key drivers for the socio-economic development of a country and there is a need to lay emphasis on promoting innovation in a big way by organizing events. She said, such programmes encourage competitiveness and entrepreneurship among young students and motivate them to take up careers accordingly.
Deepak Sharma, Nodal Officer informed that as many as 30 government and private schools participated in the Science Congress and the theme of the event was ‘Science for Sustainable Life’ and present an action-oriented research project under the guidance of their teachers, In fact, it is a medium in which a child between the ages of 10 to 17 years, gets a chance to find scientific solutions to the problems around him by adopting scientific methods.
He informed that in the senior category, Govt. School Sandhe Hasham bagged first followed by DCMI School second and Govt. School Dhira Ghara and Changa Rai third positions. In the junior category, DCMI first, DBS second and GSSS Chak Sidana got the third positions. The selected projects will also be presented at state level function to further participate at the national level. The events were judged by Dr.Gazalpreet Singh, Dr.Lalit Sharma, Arshdeep Kaur, Piara Singh, Ashwani sharm and Rakesh Mahar.
