Hoshiarpur, January 24, 2021: The Dal Khalsa on Sunday called January 26 a day of protest against draconian & black laws and constitutional denials.
The organization lashed out at the Union Ministers of the BJP government for being stubborn and ego-social over anti-people farm laws.
The Jatha of over 100 youth activists led by General Secretary Paramjit Singh Tanda left for Delhi to take part in Tractor Rally on Jan 26.
Carrying black as well as Kisani flags, the youth wing SYP activists raised slogans and reiterated that nothing short of repeal of black laws would satisfy the protesting farmers sitting on the periphery of the national capital.
While appealing to Punjab’s people to boycott of 26 January celebrations, party leader Harcharanjit Singh Dhami said that India was claiming to be a big democratic country in the world and celebrates 26 January as its republic day but its democratic claims are being badly exposed as it continuous to rob Punjab of its river waters by subverting the spirit of Constitution, denies democratic rights including the right to self-determination, misuses draconian laws including UAPA to stifle dissent and imposes three contentious farm laws.
The pro-freedom party leader said that the Sikhs were neither the enemies of India nor its people. He said for the People of Punjab there was no constitutional and moral justification to celebrate these functions because there was no sign of true democracy on the ground.
