3 Cyclists dedicate 72 km ride to 72nd Republic Day celebrations in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, January 26, 2021: Three cyclists – Sohan Singh Sodhi, Aman Sharma and Ashu Narula – dedicated today’s cycle ride of 72 km to 72nd Republic Day celebrations in Ferozepur, organized by Indian Flag Runners under the banner of Hussainiwala Riders, Ferozepur. Another Tiger Run was of 26 km also.
Divulging with details, Sohan Singh Sodhi who has number of achievements to his credit including completing more than 45,000 km cycle ride said, as many as 500 persons participated in this event. It is perhaps for the first a unique initiative to organize a cycle ride or runner with national flags.
He the ride of 72 km was completed within the targeted time of 6.30 hrs started in the morning before the sunrise from Udham Singh Chowk and ended at Saragarhi historical gurudwara before sunset, visiting Hussainiwala National Martyrs’ Memorial of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev and Pargat Sahib Gurudwara.
Earlier also, one of them Sohan Singh Sodhi had participated in the record event 100 kms in which 175 participated from all over India carrying the Indian Flag in 10 hrs and it figured in the International Book of Records.
The cyclists said, the daily cycling keeps us physically and mentally healthy. Giving a word of advice to the youngsters, they should switch over to cycling at least for nearby routine jobs to keep physically and mentally fit especially when our physical activities are very limited. But, today’s cycle ride dedicated to Republic Day will be memorable in our life.
