Jalandhar: Commandant 7th battalion PAP and 100 cops get Covid jabs
Jalandhar, February 5, 2021: The commandant 7th battalion of PAP Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh, having additional charge of AIG counter Intelligence Jalandhar zone on Friday received Covid vaccine in the session site at PAP Community Health Centre.
Khakh along with 100 cops of the 7th battalion took the shot of the Covidshield vaccine and followed the mandatory protocol by sitting in the observation room for half an hour.
Later, they resumed their office after completing all formalities required following the vaccination.
Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh said that all of us are feeling totally fine and told this special vaccination camp is being held On the directions of Punjab DGP Dinkar Gupta, to cover all officers/ officials of the Punjab Police being frontline workers in the pandemic.
He said that the second dose of the vaccine would be administered after 28 days to each frontline worker.
He said Punjab Police have done exceptional work during the Covid-19 crisis by delivering essentials/medicines and other things to the people at their doorstep.
He also gave a call to all police personnel and other citizens to come forward for vaccination in the larger public interest besides keeping the pandemic at bay.
Appealing to the people not to fall prey to any kind of rumours, he said this vaccine was vital to combat the pandemic and all of us must come forward in getting the shots.
